Since I was in Japan, I wanted to try something new and I dyed my hair red. At the salon I went to, it was 9000 yen for a haircut and color and it was very convenient since it was located right next to my dorm. I got many compliments on it and I was glad that I dyed my hair! For Keio University, there's an option to take certain classes in the first half, second half, or for the whole semester. The second session classes started which meant my Otaku Culture class would start. Since this was in person, I went to class on the first day and was very surprised to see my professor cosplaying as a Genshin Impact. He explained that he wears a different cosplay every class and you will not see him in the same cosplay during a semester. The class was very interesting and it is honestly one of my favorite classes because we talk a lot about things I am interested in, such as video games, anime, and how that culture has affected not only Japan but the entire world. I also can't forget about the super tasty food I was able to eat everyday. My friends and I have been eating out at restaurants almost everyday just because of how cheap it is especially compared to Hawaii. For example, this curry and naan set was around 990 yen, which is equivalent to ~$7.22 USD. The samgyeopsal set we got was around 3000 yen for 2 people, which is around $21.89 USD which is less than $11 per person. Since the food is so good and cheap, I feel like I'm always eating! This is for sure one of the biggest things I'll miss when I go back home.
